What Happens

Our clients live on the financial edge with every dollar stretched for normal  household expenses. One small change can throw them completely off balance.

Who We Help

Focus #1: Addressing Safe Shelter

From rental assistance for past-dues and eviction notices to critical household items and appliances, Good Friends works with community partners such as Safe Alliance, Pineville Neighbors, and Roof Above to support clients facing the most dire of situations with safe, reliable housing as well as reliable after-care to maintain sufficient living arrangements.

Focus #2: Food Security

Not knowing where your next meal will come from continues to be a reality for individuals and families alike in our community. Many with school-aged children. Good Friends continues to partner with organizations such as Loaves & Fishes, Friendship Trays, and Charlotte Rescue Mission to provide healthy meal and snack options for our neighbors in need.

Focus #3: Youth and Infant Safety

Children in our community have been faced with unprecedented challenges from basic infant-care needs, learning accommodations including technology for virtual learning, as well as additional challenges brought on by homelessness, and more. Through our partnerships with local schools and organizations including Above and Beyond, Good Friends Charlotte will continue to spotlight the support for youth programs.
